Location de maison, commune de Creysse - House for rent, Creysse

Creysse in its environment

CREYSSE is a small discreet village very close to Rocamadour (the site ranks second in France), Martel, Padirac, Carennac, Collonges la Rouge, Turenne, Sarlat (a medieval jewel, a city of art and history so loved by La Boetie, Paul Eluard, Robert Merle who found refuge here to write the Fortune de France saga).

Midi Pyrenees

It is located in the Midi Pyrenees region, to the north of the Lot, at the border of the Limousin and PОrigord on the right shore of the Dordogne River

In the center of this highly touristy region, Quercy-PОrigord, this village, fed by the small Cacrey stream (which gave its name to the town) is crossed by small bridges and dominated by a rocky spur from which Saint Germain Church rises with its twin apses jutting from the outside, unique in France.

The department of Lot, described by an art historian as a "land of light and memories" (source: Dire Lot No. 145, 2006, p. 32) offers a wide variety of landscapes and a very rich heritage of unbelievable wealth, both historic and rural.

Many press articles refer to a " preserved land where joie de vivre and friendliness still exist" and a "perfect place to stop or live without ever feeling dispossessed" (Dire Lot, April 2007).

Many artists chose to stay here, including: Zadkine (Zadkine Museum: Les Arques), Andre Breton, Louis Malle, Nino Ferrer, John LurНat.

Below, you can download a five minutes sample of Creysse's atmosphere one Friday at noon in MP3 format.
